Kazutaka Fukui vs. KOTORITO at Portland Japanese Garden.

Kazutaka Fukui is a master Tsugaru Shamisenist from Tokyo, Japan. He wears two hats on, currently serving as a gardener fellow at Portland Japanese Garden as well as a shamisen performer. “Landscape” is one thing in common between his professions, gardening and Japanese music.

KOTORITO is a Japanese music unit formed by a vocalist Koh Aoki, a Koto/Shamisen player, Eri Muroi and a Tsugaru Shamisen/ Shinobue/ Taiko player, Yumi Torimaru (a director of Takohachi).

This performance will be full of flavorful Japanese music with many unique/different instrumentation.
